Bill and wife Wanda at 40th reunion.

Hi ya'll, I been reading with great pleasure about all of you and thought I would throw in a few notes. Near as I can remember I was born like most of ya'll around 1945. That is the year Dr. Spock wrote his book about "Babies & Child Care", I don't know about yours but my folks never got around to reading it. They whipped my butt every day even if I didn't need it. Now, when we were two years old as I remember the "transistor" was invented, my what havoc that has caused. When we were three the Long Playing record was invented, I still have some. When we were four we got to see the signing of the N.A.T.O. treaty then at five the Korean War. At six the color T.V. came along and at seven we witnessed the invention of the contracepive pill, by the time we reached eight years old health folks decided that lung cancer was related to smoking, at nine years old we saw the launching of the first nuclear powered submarine, by the time we were ten the AFL merged with the CIO and at eleven the transatlantic cable and telephone service was established. In 1956 and 1957 the US and the USSR launched Sputnik and Explorer and I remember in 1958 Hawaii became the 50th state. So we have witnessed a lot and things went pretty well up till then, but in 1958 Brooklyn lost the Dodgers and things have never been the same. I left ya'll in 1962, the year of the Cuban Missle Crisis and the best seller One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I joined the US Air Force and served till 1966. I am sure you will recall that is the year one of our B52,s crashed in Spain with 4 unarmed H bombs aboard. (Oop's) In terms of best sellers that year it was Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood".( didn't ya love Robert Blake in the movie) Well in 1967 the first heart transplant was performed and my heart was given in marriage to Wanda Woods (sister of Emma Woods class of 1963). We are still hanging in there and living in Plainfield after 36 years. Our daughter Shelia (don't ask me that's the way she spells it) was born in 1968 and our son Jason in 1970, two was enough. We have three grandsons Zachary, Luke and Jorden .In 1975 after returning to school I earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Indianapolis. I continued at the University of Indianapolis earning my MBA in 1992. In 1994 I finished twenty years service with Amax, Inc, I served in many capacities over the years, Computer Operations, Technical Support, Telecommunications Manager and Data Center Manager. Following a merger with Cypress Metals I took about a year off and played a little golf. In December 1994 I took a job as IT Director for Olive, LLP an Accounting/Tax Firm in Indianapolis. In 2002 Olive, LLP merged and once again I took a little time off. In fact I am still off..... That's about it folks hope ya'll enjoyed this little trip down memory lane and my info, oh yeah did I mention that in 1976 I saw Waylon and Hank Jr. live....c/ya
