I graduated from Ball State University and received advanced degrees from St. Francis and IU. I have lived in Syracuse, IN since graduation. It is a lovely small town next to Lake Wawasee. No, I do not live on the lake. It is for the wealthy and I teach school.

I have taught for Wawasee Community Schools for 48 years. I have reduced my schedule to help meet some of the budget crunch. I am doing consulting for nine schools with the new regulations in education. I am still keeping score at many athletic events. Since I have no athletic ability, I feel blessed that they let me keep score.

My daughter graduated from Manchester and has a masters in administration from IU. She also works for Wawasee Community Schools as a student service coordinator. Her husband teaches, coaches tennis and girls basketball in this same corporation.

My son is graduate of IU Kelly School of Business with an undergraduate and MBA. He now lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and is western sales manager for International Paper. His wife teaches English in the Linn-Mar school district.

My mother passed away five years ago at the age of 96. Her health had failed by her mind was still sharp.
