James L. Hodshire, age 67, of Rice Lake, WI died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his home. He was born May 27, 1945 in Elwood, IN to James and Mary (Peters) Hodshire. James graduated from the Plainfield High School in 1963, and later attended the Police Academy in Bloomington, IN. He was married to Connie Glover on November 22, 1963 in Plainfield, IN. He worked for General Motors, Police Department of Morgan County and the Sheriffs Department in Hendricks County for 13 years. Jim later worked for Lilly Industrial Coating in Indianapolis for many years and Connie and Jim moved to Rice Lake, WI in 2001 where he worked for Mastercraft Industries. Jim was a member of the National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and also enjoyed playing guitar, motorcycle riding, cars and racing. James Hodshire is survived by his wife, Connie Hodshire of Rice Lake, WI; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Vince & Lisa Hodshire of Kenosha, WI and Jason & Elaine Hodshire of Rice Lake, WI; 7 grandchildren, Meaghan, Devan, Cord, Cindy, Stephanie, Kemawin and Vanessa; 3 great-grandchildren, Maximus, Killian and Knox; many nephews and nieces; and a special brother-in-law, Phil Glover. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Hodshire; and a sister, Jane Mundy. Funeral Services were held May 22, 2013 at Stanfold Lutheran Church, Rev. Kent Wallace officiating, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake, WI.
